When done right, backside wave riding can look and feel great but compared to its frontside counterpart it's definitely more challenging to master. Control of the board and kite needs to be more precise and your body is required to get into more twisted positions, if you want to kick up a wall of spray in a powered top turn.
There is a lot to learn and understand but you'll soon find riding backhand is one of your favorite experiences!
